Hello I’m Jan.

I founded jctherapeuticsolutions to encompass all that I am passionate about.

I feel that a Childs’ emotional well being is the key to them becoming the best version of
themselves.

My interest in working with children started when I was 10 years old when I noticed that I had an affinity to build meaningful relationships with children.

My career path took me the long way round! and after a successful career in Hairdressing bringing up my own family volunteering in Play groups & Schools & Frenchay Hospital Childrens ward.
I trained to be a NNEB (Nursery Nurse) a HPS Hospital Play Specialist a IAIM Infant massage instructor & Play & Creative Arts & Outdoor Therapist. Advanced Facilitator of Lego Brick by Brick Club.
TLSWi Advanced Certificate & Governor for South West - Oxford NHS.

As of 2026, studying Theraplay level 1 June 2026 enables me to use Theraplay principles in work with families, also continuing my studies in Sound Healing.

My Special interest is Trauma  both big T and little T , generational Trauma , ADHD, the impact of grief on a child, Child Development and Parent Child attachment. & taking Play Therapy into the outdoors.

My passions are my own family, friends CPD (continuing professional development ) working with Children & their families ,I know first hand how  difficult, challenging & rewarding parenting can be.

I have been privileged to work with Children & their families over the years with a wide range of backgrounds, abilities & challenges in various settings and I have seen the positive changes that can happen with collaborative working, bringing the best outcome for their child/ren

through play.
